Onyx School of Performing Arts is coming to Walton-on-Thames!
Exciting news for families in Walton-on-Thames - Onyx School of Performing Arts, already much loved by families in Kingston upon Thames, is bringing its inspiring classes to St Mary's Hall, KT12 2QS.
Our specially designed programme offers a magical introduction to the world of performing arts for children aged 3–5. Through a carefully balanced blend of ballet, acting, and singing, young performers begin their journey in a way that nurtures both joy and development.
At Onyx, we focus on building confidence, coordination, and creativity in a fun yet structured environment. Our classes use an award-winning dance programme aligned with early childhood developmental milestones, ensuring your child learns and grows every step of the way.
Little stars will also have the opportunity to work towards the Trinity Young Performers Award, accredited by Trinity College London, as well as take part in regular performances, perfect for boosting self-esteem and celebrating progress.
Most importantly, your child will make new friends, express themselves freely, and become part of a warm, welcoming community, the Onyx family.
Book your two-week trial today and give your child a joyful start in the performing arts!
Onyx School of Performing Arts is delighted to announce the launch of three performing arts scholarships for children aged 6-8, giving young talent the chance to access high-quality training in acting, singing and street dance.

🤩 A New Chapter: Onyx Partners with I-PATH 🤩
Onyx School of Performing Arts is now a proud member of I-PATH (International Performing Arts & Theatre), a renowned exam board that offers children and young people worldwide the opportunity to achieve graded qualifications in all performing arts disciplines.
I-PATH collaborates with leading choreographers and performers to develop exceptional syllabuses and programmes. As a member studio, our students now have exclusive access to these exciting opportunities. We can align with I-PATH’s syllabus and offer their exams, giving our performers a pathway to recognition, growth, and success.
One of the standout benefits? Grades 6, 7, and 8 carry UCAS points, supporting your child’s future educational journey. Prefer a non-exam option? I-PATH also offers Achievement Awards, celebrating progress and learning in a fun, supportive format.
We can’t wait to begin this exciting new chapter with I-PATH and see our students shine!
✨ A Night to Remember ✨
Onyx School of Performing Arts closed out the year with what was hands down our best End-of-Year Showcase to date!
The sheer level of talent from our young performers absolutely blew the team, parents and our special guests away.
We were honoured to welcome the Mayor of Kingston upon Thames, Councillor Noel Hadjimichael, and Mayoress Ms Carol Berliner, who described the event as:
"One of the most charming and energetic events I've been to so far. The students and staff at Onyx should be so proud". 💫
To top it all off, the Mayor himself presented our students with their prestigious Trinity College London Acting certificates (with a 100% pass rate)! 🎉 🥳
